Keynote

We have found that OneDrive may compress Keynote files into a file format with the “.pkgf” extension, which is not natively recognized by MacOS. Here are steps to extracting the Keynote files for use in the Keynote app. If you do not have the Keka app, please reach out to the IT department and we will make it available to you in Iru Self Service.

  1. Download .key file from web-based version of OneDrive

  1. Your file will have the “.pkgf” file added to it in your downloads folder

  1. Right click on the “.pkgf” file and select “Services > Extract using Keka”

  1. Keka will extract the Keynote file, but give it a weird name, such as “9554653”

  1. Rename this file to your desired name adding the “.key” extension, such as “My Kennote Project.key”

  1. You should be able to now open the extracted file in Keynote.
