MuseScore / MuseHub Sound Library

The MuseScore/Muse Hub Sound Library content is stored in a shared location on the iMacs. To keep the iMacs running smoothly, we need all users to use this shared installation instead of downloading the sounds to their individual accounts on the iMacs. Using the shared installation will also make launching sessions faster for everyone.

Follow these instructions for using the MuseScore Sound Library

1. Quit the MuseScore app if it is open.

2. Open the Muse Hub app

   Open

   

    

3. Sign in to the Muse Hub app

   Open

   

    

4. Change folders in Installation section of the Muse Hub Settings window to:

   1. /Users/Shared/Muse Hub/Downloads/Instruments

   2. /Users/Shared/Muse Hub/Downloads/Elements

   3. /Users/Shared/Muse Hub/Downloads/Courses

      Open

      

       

      Open

      

       

5. The selections should look like this when you are finished:

6. Quit and relaunch Muse Hub

7. Go to the Library window

8. Install whichever sound packs you choose to use by clicking on the cloud icon (they will not actually download, but will synchronize with already downloaded  and installed) shared files)

9. Quit the Muse Hub app

10. Open MuseScore 4 to use the Sound Library.
