Who should have a web biography?
Biographies on our website directory are not required, but UMC recommends that those in the following positions have one:
Faculty
Admissions counselors
Academic advisors
Senior leadership
Division or department heads in a public-facing role
How do I submit or update my web biography?
Please submit a Jira ticket with UMC.
What do I include in my web biography?
Please submit your education (degrees and institutions), recent publications, honors and awards, and professional organizations and associations in a list format. Outside these lists, your biography should be no more than 250 words; it should briefly describe your career journey, role at North Park, and any personal information you wish to share. UMC will edit your submission for the web and style.
How do I change my title?
The website synchronizes with Colleague for names, titles, emails, phone numbers, and locations. Therefore, only Human Resources can edit titles. If you notice an error in one of these fields, please email humanresources@northpark.edu for assistance. Please note that the title field in Colleague only permits 60 characters, so some titles are adjusted to fit the space.
