Who we are
North Park’s University Marketing and Communications (UMC) team helps the university develop and maintain its brand through strategic marketing and communications. We do this by providing expertise in design, websites, marketing, media relations, content creation, copy editing, copywriting, social media, and advertising campaigns. We are a team of strategic thinkers, creative problem solvers, and subject experts from various professional backgrounds—all with the goal of enhancing NPU’s reputation and brand.
What we do
Marketing
Help hire freelance photographers/videographers
Organize faculty/staff headshots twice a year
Primarily support undergraduate and graduate admissions campaigns but also other university offices
Support marketing for major university events
Communications
Send “Faculty and Staff Bulletin” (biweekly email newsletter to faculty and staff) and “This Week at North Park” (weekly email newsletter to students, faculty, and staff)
Website (editing, site structure and flow, front-end development for WordPress)
Storytelling (news stories, social, North Parker magazine)
Press releases and web stories
Run the official university social media
Design
Stewards of NPU brand
Develop and update NPU branding guidelines
Design logos, brochures, banners, etc.
